“Mind Science” in the News

As a follow-up to the “Law of Attraction” posting, I would also like to offer the following article posted on MSNBC on November 10th, 2008:

Changing your mind can change your body“.

Although the Psychologists involved were not studying chi, per se, they were in fact studying how the mind plays a vital role in everything we do.

In fact, a psychologist points out:  “The thing that precedes your behavior is a thought, and we sometimes aren’t good at getting in touch with our thoughts,” he says. “We’re on autopilot.”

Again, this article does not directly deal with chi development- its focus is on thoughts and exercise regimens.  However, the discussion therein regarding how pivotal the mind is to this arena for success can easily be correlated to chi development.

What I also like about this article is that is points out and provides examples of “bad” thoughts and also gives suggestions for “better” thoughts.

I have been training with Sifus Jones and Perhacs for approximately 10 years and know the importance of being mindful.  This article reinforced the concepts they have taught me and hopefully, it will do the same for each of you.
